Dr. Donna Gosnell
, Music Director & Organist

In addition to her many jobs at FPC, Donna is a professor of chemistry at Valdosta State University. She and her husband, Ralph (who is an IT with VSU) have two adult daughters and two granddaughters.

A native of Pennsylvania, Donna was graduated with a B.S. from Penn State, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. With a Presbyterian student missions background (Thailand) and beyond her chemistry and music, Donna’s hobbies include gardening and cooking.

Katie Altman
, Office Administrator

Growing up locally, Katie is a member of First Christian Church of Valdosta. She received an A.A. from Wiregrass Technical College in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Business Administration from Reinhardt University. Katie is married to Donald Altman and has two children, Emilee, 15 and AJ, 12, and she is mother to three furbabies, Weezie, George, and Benson. Katie is very active in the community and holds the title of Exalted Ruler at the local Elks Lodge. Katie stays busy with her kid’s many activities and stays on the go most weekends. When not otherwise engaged, you can find her in her pop-up camper on a patch of grass somewhere with the husband, children, and dogs in tow.

Beth Mathis, 
Break Bread Together

Growing up in Valdosta, Beth finished a B.S. from Rollins College and a M.S. from VSU. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Valdosta, her career and experience has been strong in social services, people services, non-profit organizations, public relations, volunteer recruitment/development, and fundraising.

Sabina Bennett, 
Church Custodian

With family in both Valdosta and Miami, Sabina’s time is shared between First Presbyterian and the Valdosta City School System. One of our best “greeters,” Sabina keeps our facilities lovely and presentable for all occasions.
